Reading concerning a work position

Here is yet another reading I did for Sandra that I’ll use as a case study, with analysis of the cards. She basically had a rough period concerning her job. She wanted to know if the next year she would be given more working hours within the place where she actually is an employee already.

8 of wands RvPage of WandsWheel of FortuneQueen of Pentacles10 of Swords Rv8 of Cups Rvthe Moon Rv

The layout used is the Horseshoe spread
the past : 8 of Wands reversed
the present : Page of Wands
the next future : Wheel of Fortune
the answer : The Queen of Pentacles
the surrounding energy around the question : 10 of Swords reversed
the attitude : 8 of Cups reversed
the outcome : the Moon reversed

Analysis of the layout
The 8 of wands upright means, among other things, going places. And here the card is reversed showing the restrictions. The wands may still reach their destination but not as fast as the client may have hoped for. This actually make sense as she already hoped in the past to be given more hours in her working place, and thus having a raise in salary only to remain with the same type of contract as the year before. The delay regarding her goal is indicated here.

The page of Wands shows up in the present situation. She is enthusiastic, energetic, the type of person who needs a goal to motivate her. This page is also the sign that she probably has characteristics of leadership (necessary for her job position) and she may receive an encouraging message at this point.

The Wheel of Fortune is showing that times are a changing. Chances are that the situation is improving. She felt it was “winter period” concerning her job, the wheel turns, enter the “spring period”. And the Page of Wands is a character who loves to spring into a new adventure, opportunities in the next future are probably on the way.

The surrounding energy around the question, 10 of Swords reversed, is the sign that the difficult period is over, but that she may not have enough confidence to believe it. She should listen to her inner voice a little bit more, and let her sense of hope and faith be restored.

There might be some confusion about where her best opportunities are (8 of cups reversed). It shows some uncertainty in her attitude. Here we talked a little bit, I asked her it it made sense to her ? As a matter of fact, she needs more cash flow, so she hopes to work more in the same place but she is starting to wonder if that job is still fulfilling her. One day she’s positive about it, another day she’s thinking about doing something else, yet she is not quite sure what that might be. The confusion is then not only the fact of not knowing if she’s going to have a raise, but also the indication that she should seek what is making her feel fulfilled. She needs a purpose that matches her energy.

The Moon reversed as the outcome is the sign that she will feel less disappointed in life than previously. It’s a good indicator for a positive growth.
The Queen of Pentacles is the card for the answer. This queen is a productive individual. It shows that common sense will be prevalent, as this queen is a very practical one. Each step is planned carefully. It shows that there will be development concerning her career, and that being practical about it should be beneficial.

There are several cards in this layout that are clues for a positive change. The Wheel of Fortune of course, but the 8 of Cups and the 10 of swords both reversed as well.

2 cards are showing the need to restore her faith in life : the moon reversed and the 8 of cups reversed. And the 10 of swords is a third card going in that direction too.

According to me, this seems to be positive for her. Her career is on the way up. She will be given more working hours, and her cash flow should consequently improve.

Sandra will give information about the development of this situation in early september, when she’ll be told herself, so I’ll update with the feedback then.

I hope you as a reader of this article found it useful, cheers. :)
