Daily reading N°3 about my trip to Paris, France

Hi there,

this is the third reading I did when I was in Paris.

After going to the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre, I went back at the hotel in order to drop all the little things I bought along the way. I also had to charge the battery of my camera. So, I took the opportunity to make another 5 cards draw to see about the rest of my day.

Here are the cards:

the clover 02the child 13the sun 31the letter 27the star 16

the clover, the child, the sun, the letter, the star

The second part of my day was a fun ride. Walked a lot again ! And I went to new places. Places I have never been to when I was in Paris, but that are actually quite famous. That is “le quartier Saint Germain”. I decided to go there by walk from one of the bridges, because I knew the views would be beautiful. At that time of the day, the sun was slowly going down offering myriads of colors. Honestly I felt like I was in one of those movies …

This is a picture I took on the bridge as the sun was going down, and the dark clouds were taking place in the sky. Quite dramatic. Unfortunately this picture doesn’t quite capture the color of that moment. I yet have to learn to master that camera a lot better !

This is something typical from Paris. The old bookstands. There are so many of them. You can find very old books there. Also, stamps, comics, posters, calendars …

I took a coffee at “Les Deux Magots” which is one of the famous places in Saint Germain. Le café de Flore is just a few walk steps away and is another famous place. Huysmans, Giraudoux, surrealist writers , Camus, Faulkner, Simone de Beauvoir … They all have been there on a regular basis …

I visited some bookstores in the streets nearby. Actually took a look at some novels, … After that I went back to the “Rue saint Honoré” and had a nice walk enjoying the city lights.

The Ritz’s entrance on the Place Vendome. A mythical hotel. I’d love to stay at that hotel someday.

And then, to finish the evening, the Champs Elysees again.

So, if I look at the cards in the draw :

the clover, the child : me enjoying new places in the city.( what I mean by new is “new to me” as I have never been there).

the sun, the letter, the star : related to the weather and time of the day. the sun was going down at the beginning of my walk and finished in the night. Also it is related to famous places (the sun and the star) . Places made famous by writers and intellectuals (the letter).

Cheers,
Hope you enjoyed the little trip

    Hi there Phoenix !

good to know you are doing fine … I was starting to wonder as you took some days off the blog … Here many people around me are kind of fluey so … taking good care of yourself is important too :D
the holiday was indeed great … I yet have to resist the temptation to go some other place like London or Paris one more time : there are so so many things to see … But I cannot afford that every week unfortunately !

on the topic of the Lenormand cards : the reading I have done while on these little trips were so on target. I tried to make daily draws for a while a few week back, but then, when I don’t have anything special planned … the cards don’t speak much and it doesn’t make much sense … how logical, huh ?

    Cheers
    Jayce
