Lenormand cards combination

the Ship and the Moon recently appeared next to one another in a reading representing the husband of the querent. Usually this combination of cards could make one think about being intuitive and dreamy … Here, in her case, it was referring to the problem she was having with her husband. He is suffering from Alzheimer disease and here it had to be read as : he is moving into the “night”

Reading : cards and astrology

Hi there, I have currently Uranus in transit making a trine to my natal conjunction Moon/Venus. Over the years, I have noticed that astrology transits are very effective. Astrology is something I have studied : noting down the aspects of transits at major turns in my life. There never was a major event that wasn’t reflecting in transits. A trine is an aspect of 120 degree, and it speaks here of an opportunity. As 2 planets will be affected by the transit, there will be some major changes coming in. As the planet transiting  is Uranus the transit will be a “surprise”.

uranussymbolcolorUranus is the planet of awakening, sudden shock and surprise. Some keywords : originality, inventors, computers, cutting edge technologies. It is the joker, the wild card of the universe.

An array of possibilities can be here triggered, the Lenormand cards are used here to seek out which out of all the possibilities is going to be given birth to.

I did a 5 cards reading to see what exactly this trine would bring into my life. Here are the cards :

the coffin 08the bear 15the heart 24the birds 12the crossroad 22

the coffin, the bear, the heart, the birds, the path

The relationship between the Coffin and Uranus is quite interesting to have here. This is actually a great example of the Coffin not necessarily being a “bad” card. It speaks of a major life’s alteration. Uranus is a new way of looking at things ! As the transit is a trine , it is going to be taking place smoothly into my life.

Uranus disrupt, change, and re-do whatever it touches. Some things are going to be changed forever. The Coffin is the end of a life cycle. Looking forward. This could really mean the end of being single. Especially since the Heart is there in 5 cards. This will break up the rigid past and challenges. Viable patterns for the present are able to step into my life. I have to admit I can’t wait to have some changes brought into my “routine” right now. I had some very tough times the last 10 years, and I am fed up with tragedies and losses. I want my life back.

Next card is the Bear. It may represents someone. Most of the time, the Bear is a man. Keywords : strong and powerful. Someone protective, caring, generous.

The Bear associated with the Heart : someone with a good heart, generous. A passion on the way ?

The Heart is for tenderness, generosity, love, romance. The conjunction of Moon and Venus are I guess represented here by this card. As the Heart is central in the draw, it seems to act as a focus.

The Birds : this is the card of verbal communication, chat, gossip. Also the cards for a couple. Directly following the Heart, it looks like being in a romance is coming around the corner.

The Crossroads speaks again of the choice, the opportunity. I see it here as meaning life getting into a new direction.

I always look at the cut : the Key associated with the Ship. Key is the Yes card. The Ship can stand for many things, here I suppose it is the longing for something. The Combination speaks about a dream to come true. The ship speaks also of travel, and being abroad. Maybe it speaks about a future move, indicated in the 5 cards by the Crossroads.

The Grand Tableau / Workshop 1, Part 6

gt-woman-wp6This is the 6th post about the workshop dedicated on the topic of the Grand Tableau. The Querent’s card is located in house 19, the house of the Tower. The Queren’t card has 2 cards above itself : the Storks and the Mice. The Storks’s keywords are : change, flexibility, evolution. The Mice’s keywords are : stress, worries, exhaustion, nervousness. The Mice also diminish the meaning of the surrounding card. The Mice is in the house of the Ship, in house 3. And the Storks is in the house of the Whip, house 11.

The Mice in combination of the meaning of the 3rd house (the Ship) is speaking of a difficult transition. The desired change is not taking place easily.
The Storks in combination with the meaning of the house 11 (the Whip) may mean a change after a conversation or it speaks about some sort of physical training.

This could actually refer to several things : I wish to move, but it is not the right time to do so; and I have to wait. Same with traveling, I would love to do some city trips, but as I am trying to put some money on the side … I am waiting a better time to do so. And finally, the problems I am having with my back and neck are definitely eating up my energy. Thus, as a conclusion, there is a sensation of being stuck in a rut at the moment. Nothing to bad though, I know it is just a question of timing, this is not going to last forever … I am making the most with staying at home right now, writing my book ! Hope this helps,

Cheers

Reading about a relationship / Part B

Hi there,

I was thinking about the combination the Garden and the Rider I got as an advice yesterday. This clearly means I should go out there, and have some fun, make new acquaintance. I did a reading with the Garden as a keycard, asking “What kind of place ?”. Here are the cards (they should be read in a line).

the clouds 06the ship 03the tree 05the garden (20)Mountain 21the lily 30the bouquet 09the man 28

the Clouds, the Ship, the Tree, the Garden, the Mountain, the Lily, the Flower, the Man

I remember the 4 central cards I just had when I did my Grand Tableau : Mountain, Lily, Garden and the Anchor. There are some strong connections between the 2 apparently. When doing the Grand Tableau, I was actually asking myself if that meant a place in the mountain, a remote location, Canada, North America, some sort of a resort … And I am finding those cards again in this no layout spread around the theme card : the Garden.

The Clouds and the Ship together in combination seem to imply that there is a distance : I should get there by plane, or train. But it is not next to where I live.

The Ship and the Tree and the Garden. That is some sort of a spiritual gathering. I actually thought of going to some conferences around topics that interest me. I don’t plan to travel in the very next future … this is very intriguing. Maybe these cards are simply telling something that is not going to happen in the next future, but later on. That would actually make sense. The Tree before the Garden could mean a park, but also adds a spiritual notion to it. It is anyway a quiet place, filled with nice energies.

The Garden and the Mountain : This place is a remote place, maybe in the Mountain.

The Mountain and the Lily : a place in winter, under the snow, a high spiritual place. Very serene.

The Lily and the Bouquet followed by the Man : I could meet someone there. The Bouquet means beauty but also Joy, Happiness.

As a conclusion, this could speak about a conference, a seminar, a place where one feels concerned about a spiritual path. Or simply a very quiet place. The place is located far away, not in my neighborhood. I intended to go to a shop that sells tarot cards and books; but I am not sure this is the place that this draw is referring to. According to me, this speaks about another place than that shop. We’ll see. But I don’t intend to go in a remote place in the mountain at the moment. Yet, this is actually what the cards seem to speak about. I will see how this unfolds ! Feel free to add your comments ! 🙂

The Ship : a flash card

I finally finished the Ship flash card. The Ship is actually my all time favorite card. I love anything related to the concept of “far away”; the travel, different cultures and working on this flash card was sheer fun. The Ship is not just related to travel though, but also to psychology due to the depth of the ocean that is underneath the boat. It is what we cannot see or perceive but what supports us. It is also what takes us away, such as the boat, therefore an ideal, a reverie … I mixed a dreamcatcher, with dolphins, to an old map etc, played with many filters in order to bring unity to all the elements of the card and its keywords. Hope you like it.

Lenormand case study : a reading about a travel

Hi there,

this is yet another case study using the 2 paths spread. Some years ago, the querent made a trip overseas, and she is actually wondering if it would be wise for her to go next summer over there again. As this is a long travel, I picked the ship as the theme card. The theme card is always taken out of the deck and placed on the table before picking up the other cards.

Question asked : is it wise for her to travel overseas next summer ?

first line stands for “if the querent is going”, the second line is “if the querent is not going”.

Here is the first line :

the Clouds, the Whip, the Star, the Mice, the Storks

This doesn’t look too good. The Clouds speaks about confusion and the Whip indicates troubles and arguments about this ideal (the Star). The Mice and the Storks are there to show that there would be losses, stressful changes along the way. The fact that the Storks are ending the line are though positive, changes can still be coming but the “flight” of the Storks will only take place if the underlying issues shown by the previous cards are resolved. Better wait before crossing the ocean !

The second line on the contrary is incredibly positive ! The Man and the Letter, followed by the Clover speaks about a positive and uplifting message from a man. The querent is single so there might be something very interesting here … The Woman and the Bouquet is the querent and it shows her as being content and very happy. The Letter and the Bouquet can both be a sign of a proposition and/or invitation. Chances are that by next summer, there will be a change of plans and something very positive will take place. Something that will make her a lot happier than that trip overseas.

Feedback to come !

hope you enjoyed this case study around the Lenormand cards,
Cheers

Case analysis : Lenormand cards and animals

This is actually a reading I did for one of my cats who is not showing up anymore. That little cat is an outdoor cat. He is not savage though, love to be carried around and cuddled. After 2 days of not showing up, I took the deck. The keycard is the Fox, for cats so.

question asked : whatever happened to *name of the cat* ?

Interestingly and sadly enough, the last card I pulled was the Fox. This is a technique which consist of shuffling the cards, putting them on the table, picking them up one by one until you get the key card.

The cards that are before and after the keycard are giving informations. As the Fox is the last card, it seems to say there is not future for this cat, or I won’t know anything about this little one in the future. (The right from the card is the future, the left is related to the recent past.)

The Scythe being on the left of the keycard speaks of a severance, something brutal that happened, and caused a shock. As the hurting side of the scythe is pointed toward the Fox, I am afraid the little one is actually hurt. The Ship is among other thing related to travel, faraway location etc … Also, a vehicle. And because the Woman is next to it, She is the one driving the car.

At worse, these cards would say, that a woman hit the cat with her car, and I am not going to learn anything from that cat anymore. At best, the ship means just far away; and thus, the reading would go as such : a woman took away the cat, adopted him and I am no longer going to hear from him anymore.

I usually am an optimist but here it seems to me that the first version is the accurate one. Unfortunately. I just hope that if he got hit by a car, that he didn’t suffer for hours …
