NY September 11 and Ground Zero

While watching a documentary on tv news some days ago, I felt like doing a spread for the events and the renovation of Ground Zero in New York.

Here is the spread :

Lenormand cards for Ground Zero

The Sun associated to the Letter (the cut of the spread):  represents the upcoming “anniversary” of the event. And the amount of publications that are going to be written: 10 years already and like many people, I do remember that day just like yesterday. It is one of those moments that one remembers all his life. I was going back to my hotel; I was staying at the Reunion’s Island at that time, when I heard the news on the radio. I spent the evening watching the news with other clients of the hotel, including someone who used to be a journalist.  We would talk and stare at that TV, wondering what the world was turning into.  One of my friends who actually was a New York resident send me later a photograph that he took from the top of his building where he could watch the event taking place. He wrote me that he saw the tower collapse. Without a doubt, that day he woke up to live the worst nightmare of his life. I still have a little tourist book of NY in which I checked all the places I wanted to see in the city, including of course, the Twin Towers. Fact is, in September I had a last minute change and instead of going to NY, I had to go the Reunion’s island for work. Someone must have been watching over me.

Now back to the 13 cards layout:

What could possibly better represents ground zero than the Mountain? Everything is cement and block of concrete there and has to be rebuilt. At the crown of the layout we have the Garden. So we go literally from a block of concrete made by nature, to complete scenery made by man.

Architecture by the way is well represented within the layout as the combo of Pisces and Garden. Bear is standing next to it, and represents the amount of money which is tremendous. Bear, by itself represents money. Pisces placed like this, close the Bear, augments the amount of money. And the lady, (one must consider here the ace of spades on the card), illustrates the contract to rebuild the place.

The Dog, the Bear, and the Book: in a layout, 3 ten represents an important change. The 2 Kings stand for a new enterprise and the house on the right is the big buildings.

The garden is considered by many as being a very good card, when you don’t take note of the cartomancy aspect of the card: the 8 of spades. Some readers only care about the picture and ignore the traditional meaning of the card. In this particular layout, one has to take care of the traditional meaning. The Garden is actually the 8 of spades as you can see in the picture of the spread, and it is at the top, crowing the whole set atop the snake.

The 8 of spades has a very bad reputation and despite the fact that the Garden might also represent a public place, here it should be taken into account especially if the Snake is present, and it is: just below the Garden as a matter of fact. Traditionally, the Garden and the Snake associated with one another when studying if a place is spiritually clean is a warning sign of entities present. Not that I am so surprised in this case considering the amount of pain that must be floating over there.

Mice in itself is a bad card, which I always see in case of stress, suicide, death, health problems, every kind of “deterioration” you can think about … Along with the Garden and the Snake, it is enclosing the layout, sort of making a parameter around it !

The Storks is a good card to notice there in the layout standing over the Scythe : the change taking place is positive and should, with time, take away the negativity over there : the Scythe “cutting” the Mice. It is like a cleansing process, and it will be taking place bit by bit like the Clover is indicating, being at the center of the layout.

Hope this analysis was interesting to you. And my deepest thoughts to all people affected by this event.

Lenormand cards : a possibly criminal case

A woman disappeared in France, early in the morning , doing her jogging, she actually never came back home. She is actively being searched for.

I used lenormand cards in order to do the reading. The women card is “charged” with her name.

cut :

Sun + Cross (which seems to describe the painful situation taking place right now)

clover + whip + heart + women + lily + cross + birds + man + storks + mice + mountain + bear

the situation doesn’t look good to me. lily + cross, especially regarding to this question may mean a long agony, suffering …

birds mean proximity. so the man (if it proves to be a criminal case), is probably someone from next town, nearby …

storks and mice : a stressful move. did he hurt her by accident, and then fled the scene ?

mountain here doesn’t look good : it is an obstacle and a big one (bear).

all in all it doesn’t look that good. no really good cards implying that she is safe and sound unfortunately.

for more details I pulled 3 cards again

key + scythe + garden

which seems to imply that she has been hurt in a public place … that was the turning point.

for more details again, asking the question “is she dead” ?

tree + fox + coffin

I would say alas yes, and the fox seems to look at the tree … maybe they will find her thanks to trained dogs (canine brigade), but in my humble opinion it is too late …

Merry Christmas !

xmas-on-blog

Hi there,

I have been busy these last few days … Writing my book and also taking some clutter away from my office ! I miss posting so I will be back soon 😀  I made this little card for you to wish you of course a very Merry Christmas ! Personally, it is really not my favorite time of the year honestly but I will do my best to make the most of it. I also think of making a “Grand Tableau” for myself to see what the year 2009 will bring. Hugs to you all !

Daily reading N°3 about my trip to Paris, France

Hi there,

this is the third reading I did when I was in Paris.

After going to the Sacre Coeur and Montmartre, I went back at the hotel in order to drop all the little things I bought along the way. I also had to charge the battery of my camera. So, I took the opportunity to make another 5 cards draw to see about the rest of my day.

Here are the cards:

the clover 02the child 13the sun 31the letter 27the star 16

the clover, the child, the sun, the letter, the star

The second part of my day was a fun ride. Walked a lot again ! And I went to new places. Places I have never been to when I was in Paris, but that are actually quite famous. That is “le quartier Saint Germain”. I decided to go there by walk from one of the bridges, because I knew the views would be beautiful. At that time of the day, the sun was slowly going down offering myriads of colors. Honestly I felt like I was in one of those movies …

pont-11

This is a picture I took on the bridge as the sun was going down, and the dark clouds were taking place in the sky. Quite dramatic. Unfortunately this picture doesn’t quite capture the color of that moment. I yet have to learn to master that camera a lot better !

sunset-in-paris

This is something typical from Paris. The old bookstands. There are so many of them. You can find very old books there. Also, stamps, comics, posters, calendars …

bookstands

I took a coffee at “Les Deux Magots” which is one of the famous places in Saint Germain. Le café de Flore is just a few walk steps away and is another famous place. Huysmans, Giraudoux, surrealist writers , Camus, Faulkner, Simone de Beauvoir … They all have been there on a regular basis …

les-2-magots

I visited some bookstores in the streets nearby. Actually took a look at some novels, … After that I went back to the “Rue saint Honoré” and had a nice walk enjoying the city lights.

The Ritz’s entrance on the Place Vendome. A mythical hotel. I’d love to stay at that hotel someday.

le-ritz

And then, to finish the evening, the Champs Elysees again.

pizza-pino-on-the-champs-el

So, if I look at the cards in the draw :

the clover, the child : me enjoying new places in the city.( what I mean by new is “new to me” as I have never been there).

the sun, the letter, the star : related to the weather and time of the day. the sun was going down at the beginning of my walk and finished in the night. Also it is related to famous places (the sun and the star) . Places made famous by writers and intellectuals (the letter).

Cheers,
Hope you enjoyed the little trip

Daily draw : a city trip to Brussels, Belgium

Hi there,

tomorrow I am going to Brussels. From what I have seen on this website, there are many things to see and to do. I am trying as much as I can to break my dull routine of working like a machine non stop and then going home and reading or watching tv. There is more to life than just that, right ? Here are the cards I pulled for this day.

the heart 24the tower 19the key 33the bear 15the birds 12

the heart, the tower, the key, the bear, the birds

here is what I am getting from this draw : I am going to love (the heart) my trip to Brussels (the tower being a big city, a capital); this is certain (the key). I will spend some money there and/or eat something (the bear). Also I might enjoy a conversation, the liveliness of the place (the birds). I am wondering now if the heart means meeting someone there, someone tall (the tower) and with a beard (the bear) ? Someone who is going to be a key event for the day (the key) and enjoy a conversation with him (the birds) ? It looks like I am going to spend a very nice Sunday over there … Christmas shopping looks like fun with those cards … I will put the feedback as an update and add pictures of the places visited as well !

Cheers

*edited*

It has been fun ! Made a lot of pictures that I will post later on. I ate a lot of little things here and there as I was discovering the little stands/shops put up for Christmas. (the bear). I also bought a few things as Christmas presents. There was a concert on the Great Market Place that was quite trippy ! Lightning effects, change of colors on tubes place vertically on the ground. The colors were making patterns, changing through the flow of the music. And it was really something to watch/listen in the nighttime. I walked a lot and I am rather tired now. I didn’t meet anyone, it was a rather lonely day even though it was fun. apparently the Tower here just meant the capital, or the fact that I was lonesome. The Heart : the fact I enjoyed the day. The Key is here I think meant to be read with the two following cards. The Bear all the treats along the way : candies, roasted nuts, warm red wine … and finally the Birds : the concert on the Great Market Place. I will post the pictures I have made later on, I am too tired to open the editing program to save the pictures on a lighter format for download right now …

Cheers,

La boutique des Anges, Paris, France

Hi there,

the same day as I visited le Sacre Coeur, Montmartre and the quartier Pigalle with the Moulin Rouge; I went through the streets just discovering things as I went along. I must have been lucky. I found a little boutique selling just about anything you can think (and more) about angels. Statues, medals, earrings, postal cards, books posters … Even a little perfume called “the perfume of angels” … Name it and they have it. Here is a picture of the frontside of the boutique. I waited for about 10 minutes but there were always people coming in and out. Finally due to the fact that it was very cold and that I longed for a hot beverage, I took the picture you see below. I just blurred the people. I purchased some stuff inside. I asked if I could take a picture inside of the boutique; but the lady (very polite, smiling) was clearly embarrassed. She said they authorized one picture only. And she probably said that because I purchased many oracle decks about angels. So I just said ok then, and took no picture of the inside. (I will make another post about the decks I have purchased there).

la-boutique-des-anges

At the end of the street, as I was seeking for a place to drink a huge hot coffee, I found out a very famous place again in Paris. La librairie des Abbesses. here is an article about it (in French though). Marie-Rose Guarniéri is the owner of the place and is also responsible for the Prix Wepler which is given every year in the Brasserie of the same name, place Clichy. She was in the shop as I entered to have a look; discussing with her staff about how to place certain books. I just can’t help entering places where you find books. Here I loved how the wooden floor was making noise under my boots as I was perusing the many novel’s titles within the bookshop. Aaaah, the smell of books.

I then took the metro and went to some more adventure within the city. I did a draw (with the lenormand cards) for the next part of my trip which will probably be the subject of the next post. Oh and I just love the design of those metro’s entrance. This is what I love about Paris, it is such a treat to the eyes. You just feel like humming along as you walk in the street, just as if you are in a movie or something.

Daily reading N°2 about Paris, France

HI there,

this is the second daily drawing about my little trip to Paris. Prior to the drawing, I already knew where I was going. So the house here should not be read as my home place, or the hotel room … because I definitely didn’t stay in !

the house 04the heart 24the anchor 35the whip 11the child 13

the house, the heart, the anchor, the whip, the child.

Again, I propose this as a little exercise to be edited later on with the answer.
What about that second day in Paris ? What do you think ?

Cheers,
Jayce

*edited to add*

This is where I went in the morning : the Moulin Rouge … Quite mythical right ? just next to my hotel, it was a small walk.

le-moulin-rouge

The Moulin Rouge really well in the cards through the house+heart+anchor

see how the anchor evokes the 4 sides of the windmill ?
also the House and the Heart could evoke the Sacre Coeur, but … I guess the cross would have been there … the Whip is more like showing the “stimulating” aspect of this place of the city : the Moulin Rouge, Folies Pigalle, and the Erotic museum …

folies-pigalles

musee-de-l-erotisme

sacre-coeur

This is the Sacre Coeur : I went in and it is quite breathtaking. Pictures are not allowed inside though (which I understand). I bought some stuff such as a statue of the Virgin Mary for my father who is ill and so, she will protect him. At the top of the stair, you have one of the most beautiful sight !

manege-sacre-coeur

this is the Manege just in front of the Sacre Coeur before you take the steps up.

mime-sacre-coeur

and a mime just as you are about to take the steps heading to the Sacre Coeur. I took so many pictures of the place !

peintre-butte-montmartre

This is Montmartre with la Butte Montmartre as it is called, with painters …

I have had the typical lunch there chez Eugene : a Fish Soup ! Of course, it is filled with tourist, but still I loved it ! There are so many things to see there … I loved the atmosphere of it …

chez-eugene

voila, see you for the next reading still about my little city trip to Paris
